Instant Pot Bone Broth

Today is a gloomy day in Wisconsin. Because I spent the winter in warmer weather, it is now time to get back into my cool-weather cooking routine. We purchased a ½ of a grass-fed beef cow last December and use the meat throughout the year for various dishes. I always keep the bones to make bone broth.  Today is a perfect day to get the pressure cooker (instant pot) out and start stocking up. I often will drink a cup in the morning to start my day.

Bone broth is one of the most nutrient-dense and healing foods you can consume. Research shows that the amino acids, which are produced when making bone broth, reduce inflammation in the respiratory system and improve digestion. It also has been proven to boost the immune system and heal disorders like leaky gut, allergies, food sensitivities, asthma, and arthritis.

Benefits of bone broth:

1.     Treats leaky gut

2.     Helps to overcome food intolerance’s, allergies and

3.      sensitivities

4.     Improves joint heath

5.     Reduces cellulite

6.     Boosts the immune system

7.     Improves digestion

8.     Boosts metabolism

9.     Supports hair, skin and nails

Bone broth is nature's best multivitamin.

Most store-bought broth or stock today is not real. If you want to reap the benefits of real bone broth, you need to make it yourself or you can purchase from a trustworthy source such as Thrive Market.

My favorite bone broth recipe comes from Phoenix Helix.
